Programme
This year, Eugi will welcome again musicians from various countries who will come together to study and play chamber music in places of great natural beauty and historical and cultural significance. In its fourth year, and after the great success of last Summer’s performances, FIMNa will be organising concerts again in Eugi and Zubiri. The Festival will also bring its music across the border to France once again, this time to the beautiful church of Bidarray. This is part of the development of a unique collaboration with Baïgorry’s Organ Association and their Festival Musical de Basse Navarre which will also bring their festival choir to perform in Eugi.
FIMNa’s programme for this year will be an exciting mix of concerts, workshops and the premiere of a new song inspired by the magnificence of the Pyrenees written by John Barber in collaboration with children from the Esteribar Valley as part of our outreach programme: FIMNa in the Community.

Cross-Border cooperation with L´Association Orgue en Baïgorry and its Festival de Basse Navarre
This year FIMNa’s artists will be invited to perform in the church of Saint Bidarray (France) on Monday, 22nd August as part of the 12th Edition of the Festival Musical de Basse Navarre (organised by l’Association Orgue en Baïgorry).
FIMNa will also host a concert with the choir of the Festival Basse Navarre in the Church of Eugi on Sunday 21st August. This will be an important step in a cross-border relationship between the two festivals which will develop in future years within the framework of cooperation between the regions of Aquitania and Navarra. This project is embedded within the Council of Eugi´s objectives and projects at present which aim at developing social, cultural and economic links between the Baigorri Valley and Eugi.
