FIMNa in the Community
FIMNA strongly believes in bringing music to the community and will be organising some musical workshops and outreach events.
Musical Workshops: Soundscapes of the Pyrenees
This year, English composer and animatuer John Barber will come again to lead a project with Elena and Francisco Javier Jáuregui and Bea Hankey which will consist of several days of creative music workshops for children. This project will culminate in the premiere a song suite inspired by the magnificence of the Pyrenees composed by John Barber in collaboration with the children participating in the workshops, who will perform the piece alongside FIMNa musicians. These workshops will take place on the 19th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of August and the new piece will be premiered in the evening of the 23rd of August in the main square of Eugi as part of this year’s outdoor concert.
This project will be organised in collaboration with Ludoteca de Eugi (Eugi´s Toy Library) and Ludoteca Gargarintxo (Esteribar Valley’s Toy Library). The Workshops will be open to children of ages 4-6 or 7-12) and are free.
