Musical Workshops-Songs of the 21st Century Pilgrim
This year, English composer and animatuer John Barber will lead a project with Elena, Francisco Javier and Maite Jáuregui and Mara Miribung as well as apprentice Marta Ramírez (Sarasate Scholarship 2010) which will consist of several days of creative music workshops for children. This project will culminate in the premiere of a Pilgrim Song Suite composed by John Barber in collaboration with the children participating in the workshops, who will perform the piece alongside FIMNa musicians. These workshops will take place on the 16th, 17th and 18th of August and the new piece will be premiered in the evening of the 18th of August in the main square of Eugi as part of this year’s outdoor concert.
This project will be organised in collaboration with Ludoteca de Eugi (Eugi´s Toy Library) and Ludoteca Gargarintxo (Esteribar Valley’s Toy Library). The Workshops will be open to children of ages 4-6 or 7-12) and are free.
